Well while I was perusing through the local classifieds last night I saw an ad that says 90's ish Yamaha gas golf cart no engine $125. Didn't have pics. I text the guy and he sent me pics. Fast forward to about 3 hours ago. Me and my friends in the suburban pulling a trailer driving 45mins to go pick it up. It's really clean bodied and framed G2/G9 (I'll check tomorrow). I pull up and the guy asks me if I'm interested in a honda 4 wheeler too. 4 wheeler starts and runs fine. He took it from his friend for $150 to help out his friend. I told him to make me a package deal. Skip the BS and for $175 I loaded up an '87 TRX250SX with electric start pull back up start clutchless manual shifting with reverse an extra set of tires for the quad and the golf cart. Like I said I'll buy a G2/G9 any chance I get. The new one is actually nice enough I'm thinking of dropping my engine in this one and throw my top on it and sell the other one after fixing it up more.

Huh? What, what did I do now??? In that video I've GPS 28 on that drive many times. Can't wait to rip down there with a clone under the seat. If I go on pavement it will hit 30gps but it might be floating the valves it sounds like really strained high rpm so I rarely do it, and rarely run pavement anyway. It has a lot of wooded trail miles on it, lot of yardwork stuff.

G9 is a great cart the ride is good the steering is good, the seating is good, reliability is top notch, expensive parts rarely break, even ~'90 carts roll daily with no problems. Last weekend a buddy gave me a junk battery to try, don't really want to buy a new one since it will just sit there all winter. It was no good. Ended up I put a $20 jumper box in there and ran the cart on that all weekend lol.

Ok guys here are the pics of the cart I picked up before the weekend. Keep in mind paid $174 for it and a running Honda 4 wheeler for my wife to ride. From what I understood G2's had tube style front A arms and G9's had stamped. The serial number on my G2 says it's a 91 G2. It has stamped style arms and the one I just picked up has tube style. So either I had my info backwards or the new one is a G2 and my G2 had the arms replaced.

Plans for the new one are 16hp clone, Pachanga lift kit, new wheels and tires in the 24-25" range and we are going to buff out the plastics then shoot it with an adhesion promoter followed by metallic flake in clear coat. I'm hoping to have it done and sold by Christmas. I'll start a build thread when I get started.

Interesting box on there. The G2 also have white steering column and white rockers with a black trim down them, and the alum trim on the front cubby top...instead of black plastic covered cubby trim/black column paint/plain black rocker G9 has. Heck of a good deal anyway, not really much difference in G2/9.

Thanks for the info based off what you said they are both G2's then. The box on the back actually has a manufacter's name on it. I can't remember what my friend said it was when he spotted it.
