Default rust holes in frame

Hey guys i have a 1992 G9 that i am fixing up, in the process of inspecting everything i founf a couple rust holes in the frame. and ideas on how to repair this would be appreciated. there is a hole on the cross member and one on the main frame rail. i was thinking about replacing the cross member and making drop brackets so i am most concerned with the hole in the main frame, can i repair this or should i cut that section out and replace it.

Also the brackets where the swing arm mounted were broken which is fine because im going to make new ones. but i cant for the life of me get the bolts and bushings out of the swing arm. any ideas?

If you want to do it I would say drill some small inspection
holes and determine the extent of the rust. Doing that much
work cut and burn the bushings out and install new ones.

My 2 pennies.

And by the way.

thanks for the replies guys, i am thinking about replacing the cross member amd brackets the same way TheNewGuy did. the thing that has me thinking is the hole in the main frame rail, it is a hole about the size of a quarter. i dont know if i should just grind out all the the rusted metal and repair it or if i should cut out that whole section and replace it.

I would try to form a piece of metal and go right over the top of the hole. run the piece from the edge of the brake cable bracket all the way to the side member. maybe form another piece underneith as well.
