fuel filter
DOES THE FUEL FILTER STAY FULL ALL THE TIME? I PUT A NEW FUEL PUMP AND I HAVE NO PICKUP, NO PUMP AT ALL, ITS A 81, G1, thanks

not really sure what you are asking but the fuel filter should be about half full or so, not filled up, but there should be a decent amount of fuel in it. If you put on a new fuel pump and still no fuel to the engine I would look for damaged or cracked fuel lines, clogged lines, clogged carb, or a damaged pulse hose (the small one below the carb that supplies positive vacuum to the fuel pump).

Also try to prime the fuel pump by blowing a little air in the tank.
