Default Re: OBC self Diagnostic program

Thanks Sergio, is there any signs or symptoms other than the fuse blowing that would indicate the diode has failed? I checked two chargers that neighbors had that did the obc bypass and both had bad diodes.

Took the cart out this morning, it has been off the charger since yesterday. the voltage has dropped to 49.9 volts. So apparently the old pack isn't holding a charge. I drove up the hill maybe a 1/4 of a mile and the cart did the herky jerky. I think the battery pack is done, time for some new batteries.
The Charger seems to be part of the problem too. The bottom diode on the rectifier diodes was showing a measurement in both directions. So using three chargers I made one good one. It is now Charging the old pack and is showing 58.2 volts 5 amps so I think the OBC is fine. We'll see where it shuts off. Oh and it is the old beige OBC.

No other symptom as the OBC absorbs the voltage spike when the relay turns OFF.

If You ever hear someone tell you their 3/8 amp fuse is blown, make sure they check that little fly-back diode before they end up with a burnt OBC.
