![]() I've seen some gear sets avaible for my club car and am wondering about them. Ofcourse they say MORE SPEED but at what cost? I may be new to the golf cart area but not to general mechanics. Changing the gear rratio to gain more will effect the bottom end performance, right. My cart has a stock motor right now and i want to keep the mods to a minimum. I am currently Refurbishing it. My intentions are to build this one to keep at my camp on the river for regular use and then build one with a big block and "all out" mods later. Ya'll sure know how to infect someone with the golf cart bug! Also, being new to the forum, It seems to be an invaluable source of knowledge and friends helping friends, Luvin' it already!

![]() You are sure on track, Tiger.
Even those bigger tires you want are gonna cost you hp. You gotta maintain a balance. bigger tires and taller gears are gonna need more umph. On the other hand what about bigger tires and smaller gears? Like these guys say you need to know what you are gonna want to do with the cart before u start building it. Good Luck ![]() |
