Default Pro charging sytems

I am installing a new Pro Charging Systems charger on my 97 CC DS. First problem is the charger is not recognizing the batteries. Has a blinking red light which indicates no connection.

Second thing I want to do is completely bypass the charge receptacle. Not sure what role the grey wire plays and where it would need to be connected.

I assume you are talking about a 48 volt cart? If it is the gray wire from charge receptical it goes to the OBC that in turn grounds relay inside a Club Car Power Drive charger model #17930 turning charger on and controlling functions. Not being familiar with a Pro Charging System and with out seeing your new charger diagram ( I think ) you need to remove or bypass the OBC to use your new charger???

It is a 48v cart. The stock charger was formerly hard wired to the cart. It had 3 wires...red blue and black. The red was wired to the posi

Sorry...the red wire to the positive on the charge receptacle, the black to the negative on the receptacle and the blue to the grey wire on the receptacle. The Pro charger has only two wires...white and black. I connected the white to the red lead on the receptacle and the black to the black wire on the receptacle. The grey has nothing connected to it.

Looks like it an automatic charger. If so you do not want to wire it to charging rect because that will go through the obc and it will not work properly.Wire it to the neg and pos on the battery pack.If you want to use the recpt in cart move the neg from obc to neg side of pack and it will work. You dont need the third wire.

If you wire direct to battery pack PLUS and MINUS I would include the fuse ( not tube fuse but covered fuse unit mounted on charge receptical ) for safety sake even though I'm sure you have fuse included inside Pro Charger unit.
