Default What CC do I Get for going up hills?

I joined this site to find the best CC for my use. It will be used to go to and from the beach, on a paved road, and paved golf path. I live up a steep hill of about a quarter mile, and the golf carts of my neighbors have probs with the hill. What do you recommend in a CC, and what mods ie motor, batteries etc. would be best for me. Total drive time each trip 1 hour or less, hill at the end of the trip. Also, I want to add a back seat, carry a total of 4 people.
Thank you, Roger

I would have to agree. I upgraded my cart to 48v, 500 AMP controller and I climb long hills really well even after some serious use. I do still have my stock 36v motor and have been thinking of making a change, but hard to justify when my buggy runs great and pretty much does what I need.

Even with my lift and large tires, I still climb good with 4 people.

Depends on budget , and where U are located.
No Money, no salt or problems with steel rusting then EZGO.
$$ and like the solid welded aluminum chasses then CC, with a Plum Quick motor ($225)

Ok, thanks for the responses. Now, which 48v CC, are there some better for installing a motor upgrade?? I see CC's for sale anywhere from about $1300 to #2200, up t about 2003 year. Some better, some worse??
Thank you, Roger

Yep for motor , stay away from 36 Volt, and the newer 48 Volt which have 4 * 12 Volt batteries, get a 48 Volt cart which has 6 * 8 Volt batteries. The newer the batteries the better (nothing over 3 years old) since a new set is around $600.
Crown, Trojan, US are the best batteries.
Bigger tires and wheels offer more speed but loose torque for hill climb.

Keep us posted !

Ok, thanks for all the help. I think I'm ok if I can find one needing batteries, then you know what you have with new ones, and can maintain them correctly, not sure others do. However, how do you know if the cart runs ok, if batteries are bad? I saw one ad where they said, needs one or two batteris. Hmmm, will it run at all? I know it's better to replace all new at once, or used if the rest are not new.
