Help Identifying Yr / Model of EZ Go Gasser

Hi, All:

I'm a noobie here, and to owning a golf cart. It's an EZGo 2 cycle gasser Model GXT 800 -g. I believe it was a utility cart, but is now has a custom flat-bed body.

My questions is, how can I identify what year it is, and what engine it has?? I am having some starting issues and before I ask a lot of questions, I want to be able to identify what it is that I have, and would also like to get the correct manual for it too. Is there a place on the body where there's a spec plate etc? I found the model number in the front but don't recall seeing a serial number or anything else to identify it.

Looks like a pre-88, look here

some older models don't work when you put in the serial number, if this is the case just post the carts manufacturing code.

Well, I found the spec plate and Model #, S/N etc. I confirmed via the website that mine is a 1990 GXT-800 Truck.

With that info, I looked through the available manuals. It looks like there are two available for mighty proud $$$ I might add....

24750G1 Service Manual $68.39
24901G1 Service Parts Manual $68.39

Are both necessary, or is there significant overlap? I'm looking to diagnose and fix my cart myself, and I plan to own it for the long-haul.

How do I know if I have a 2PG or 3PG engine???

Ok, made some progress on my own with the help of Google...

- Found .pdf's forthe Svc Manual on line. Anyone know if .pdf's are available
for 24901G1??? I'd imagine not since I did not hit on them... Probably not
too many EZGo Trucks still floating around from this era???

Figured it out too... I have the 3PG, the one with the $800 + muffler!

You'll be fine with the one manual, you can do alot with those old carts.

we rebuilt an 89 800gxt last year. try manual #54566 for parts. go to the top of this forum and find "gas tech". go to the thread with the gold stars and follow the limk in there to bennettscarts. think you will find it there. if you don't, i can email you a copy. good luck.
