Default Why must you use 10" wheels with the Supersport lift kit ?

I'am about to purchase my supersport lift kit and have notice in the item decription that I must use 10" wheels ? Why is that ? The wheels that I want are itp ss 108 's 12 inchers and a off road type tire , not the low profiles . Thank you in advance .

I'm just guessing but I would say there are probably parts of the lift that sits inside the back of the wheel and anything smaller than 10" will rub.. I have 8" wheels on my lift and if they were just 1/2" smaller things would start rubbing due to clearence issues on the back of the wheel..

12's should be fine. 10's would be minimum for rubbing like Cuz said.

I agree - the 10" recommendation is probably the minimum wheel size for clearance.

I just installed the Double "A" arm kit from CPP on my G2. Before the new wheels & tires came I put the original wheels and tires back on. The inside of the front wheels rubbed on the king pin frame. I installed a set of 10 in offset wheels and there is at least 2 1/2 inch clearance on the inside of the wheel.
