Smile Old Carryall 2

Hello everyone,
I have always enjoyed being a reader of these great posts, but now, it looks like I am buying a club car carryall 2, so I thought it would be a great time to join.

It is old, I think. It is a few hours away from my house, and all I have is one picture. It looks like the seat goes up when the dump body tips, and I think the gear selector is on the side. I think that around 1990 the seat and dump body became seperate, and the shifter is in the typical spot.
I don't have the serial # or anything, but I am guessing this means mid-late 80's? Am I way off?
If this is the case, what motor does it have, what do I need to look for, what should I be concerned about, etc?

Welcome to BGW!
Be alittle concerned about everything but hey it is only a Golf Cart

I have an old one here that is a 1990. The bed does not dump on it. It could be made to....as I probably will do. The engine is a flathead 295... what kind of shape is it in? How much? Here is mine, Your's look like it?

Thanks so much!

Yes, it looks just like that one, except it is a carryall 2, and white.
Here is the pic: (attached)

Visually, it looks in awesome shape, but like I say, all I saw was one pic. I am not sure what the price is yet, but I hear that most of this sellers carts are $1,000 or less.

What would you think is reasonable?

Thanks for anything you can help me with!

Rob

There are SO MANY variables in determining the value of a cart like this... It doesn't look as old as you said? How about getting a serial #? and then a compression check? Check the price locally for this cart is usable shape and then deduct what you think it is going to cost to put this one in that shape and what your time is worth?

The engine in the cart you are describing is a Kawasaki KF82 flathead engine. If you purchase the cart and are in need of engine parts or a rebuilt engine, please let us know. There are many of the parts for that engine that have been discontinued from Club Car, but there are several aftermarket companies that have started making parts and there are still a number of OEM parts available as well. If you have any questions or need help with it along the way, the forums are a great source and I will be glad to help in any way I can.
