Adjusted Brakes and Wha Lah!
Just some lessons learned...my pain can be someone else's gain, especially if it is an easy fix and you don't break anything in the process. My cart was running pretty good...upgraded controller and motor. But the Hills would kill it, and it wouldn't run very long. One Saturday evening I was bored...so I started tinkering with the brakes. So I jacked it up, and noticed that the brakes were over tightened on the hubs. So I loosened them up a bid (by sticking a screw driver into the hub, and cranking that star looking thing in the hub.
Long story short, and after about an hour of adjustment, I was able to improve the performance of the cart pretty well. Hills are no problem and the cart runs faster, for much longer periods of time. And all it cost me were some cuts on my fingers (common) and about an hour of time! |

Re: Adjusted Brakes and Wha Lah!
Keep an eye on those over active self adjusters in there ...... recheck em in a week or 2 ... likely they will try to do it again. Thanks for sharing that info.

Re: Adjusted Brakes and Wha Lah!
If you do alot of driving in reverse and pump the brakes, they will self adjust. I have also seen them do it in forward as well, although it is much more common in reverse.
