2002 PDS Brake Drum Splines
I am getting some noise from the the brake drums. I removed them and cleaned the splines and noticed about 1/4 of the brake drum splines are pitted closest to the axle. I tried reinstalling them with anti-sieze but after a short time they started to make noise again. I guess I need to replace them. Has anyone had experience with aftermarket from everything carts or should I go back with OEM?

Re: 2002 PDS Brake Drum Splines
Do you have at least 90 lbs torque on the drums? If not, that could be the source of the noise and also a cause for premature spline failure.
I don't know what EC carries but there have been issues with aftermarket drums and the recommendation has been to use OEM drums. Perhaps a call to them might help, they're a pretty good group to deal with. |

OEM drums should only b aournd 50 each from your local dealer. You can check out site sponsors and see what they list. I have only bought a few things from EC. I have bought a few tie rod ends and they seem to be OE quality, but time will tell.
