And that my friends is why we put a 50 amp fuse in our charge circuit
Also the suspenders and belt is a good idea, so is an seat belt and an airbag ....... a life preserver in a life raft and a side iron on a big game hunt ...

By installing a fuse, this prevents the dead shorting of the battery pack (can you imagine all 6 batteries exploding at once????) and a HUGE potential lawsuit against E-Z-GO.

They also mentioned that the fuse would blow in the event of a lightning strike travelling through the charger during the charge cycle which could also explode batteries (and yes, I have seen this happen with my own eyes and had to put out the fire it created).
So rabbit, a south Fla lighting bolt can fly 25 miles through the sky strike a power line follow it into your shop but can't jump the 1/8 " gap of a 50 amp fuse? All kidding aside it is always best to be safe than sorry especially considering the consequences.
Rabbit is great, Rabbit is wise..

Valid point rabbitreborn, I could see why Ezgo would do this from a liability standpoint especially at a golf course with multiple people and multiple carts.
