Great job aussie. You really went the extra mile making it functional and looking good. As scottyb said the output voltage of the reducer will drop if it is overloaded

I tested the volts on the outward side of the voltage reducer and it is 13.7 volts, which is spot on.

When the headlights were connected to the batteries I tested the amps and it was about 9.5amps, but when I tested the amps from the voltage reducer to the lights it was .4amps, however, the voltage reducer tested 3 amps when the blinkers were on, so I am not sure why it is doing that. Maybe it is shutting down due to not being able to handle the amp load output for the headlights. Any suggestions guys?

Headlights are nothing more than a dead short and they draw major amperage. I doubt a 10 AMP reducer would be enough to handle the load of a high output headlight.

Thanks rabbit, I was hoping that was the reason, I will get my 25 amp reducer soon, so I will know then . I was hoping it wasn't in the wiring otherwise the blinkers wouldn't have worked huh?
