48V DS Solenoid Click, 0 movement
Hi guys,
48V club car DS model. Brand new batteries, load tested fine, new cables, all connections check out fine. Car moved, I charged it, came back less than an hour later, now no movement. The solenoid clicks, and that's all. Brand new solenoid and resistor. I also jumped the solenoid to see if I get movement and I get nothing. I'm totally stumped on this one, any ideas? Thanks a ton guys! |

Re: 48V DS Solenoid Click, 0 movement
Well, I had that same problem on my 2000 DS, was running great day before then next day just a solenoid click. I had an alltrax controller and noticed the green activation light was not coming on so replaced the controller and all was well.
Chance that when you did work on the cart a spark could have messed up the controller. |

I made sure the batteries were disconnected before I did any work on it. They have an aftermarket amp on it and I did notice some wires were hanging loose.
There was a 15amp fuse that I swapped out and then it ran. After parking it, it didn't run again. |

I'll clarify, after unplugging the charger, the car did not move. I understand a car will not run while plugged in.

I just dont understand why it would have ran fine after replacing that fuse, then park it, go to move it then nothing but the solenoid clicking again.

Re: 48V DS Solenoid Click, 0 movement
Checked all the fuses and voltage to the curtis. All fuses are good and replaced them for good measure.
I would put one lead on the negative end of the battery pack and the other end on the curtis, I would get full voltage showing. I would also put one lead on the positive end of the battery pack and the other end on the curtis (the other large terminal), I would get full voltage showing. I would get this voltage without touching the pedal. I don't know if this makes a difference/plays a roll or not. |

Don't know, serial number is missing. I looked at the wiring diagrams on here, and the 99 to 2002 looks similar.
