48V Club Car Precedent Battery Hook-up
I am trying to hook up the batteries in club car that was given to me. I didn't take the old ones out, so I don't know where the wires go that is attached. I konw red is positive (so no smart comments...haha).
Black wire coming from the OBC (where does it go) Red wire attached to the solenoid? It also has a connector to it that I do not know where it goes?? Black wire with blue wire attached?? Red wire coming from the charging port?? Gray wire coming from the charging port as well?? I couldn't find an accurate diagram, so this is why I am asking you guys.... I tried the diagram in the manual on page 210, but I would rather see color pictures.?? Thanks!!! |

Re: 48V Club Car Precedent Battery Hook-up
Delman
Gray wire coming from charging port goes to the OBC. Red wire coming from charging port goes to the #1 battery possitive post Black wire coming from OBC goes to #4 battery negative Black wire with blue wire hooks up to #4 battery possitive and #3 battery negative post, the blue wire when all hooked up correctly is a 12v source. I will get you pictures in the morning if that will be ok? I will get pictures from controller selenoid and OBC and back of charge receptacle. PM me your email and I can send them to your email in the morning |

Re: 48V Club Car Precedent Battery Hook-up
RockvilleReeses welcome to BGW.
To answer your question yes their is a correct way #1 make sure if your cart has the run/tow switch make sure it is in the TOW position Hooking up a 48v four 12 volt system I always hook up my positive wire to the # 1 battery then the negative will go to the # 2 positive then the # 2 negative goes across the black box that covers your controller and electrical and hooks to the # 3 positive and # 3 negative hooks to the # 4 positive then last you hook up your # 4 negative. What I call # 1 is first battery under seat on drivers side # 2 is back battery on drivers side. # 3 is back battery on passenger side and # 4 is front battery on passenger side. Front = towards front end/ Back = towards back of cart. Just remember to put in tow position if your cart has it. 1 4 2 3 |

If you have a converter hooked in it will spark, not a good thing though.
