Default A-Arm lift kit question

Hello, i'm new to the forum and the golf cart world as well. Just picked a 2008 cc precedent and wanted to lift it. My question is what is the difference between an A-Arm and double A-Arm liftkit,or it is theb same thing. I was thinking about installing a Jakes kit. Thank you in advance.

Hello Yuny and welcome to BGW.

I installed the jakes long travel lift on my precedent and it has the double a-arms.

I would think the difference maker between the two a-arms would be what do you have planned for your cart?, normal use easy off roading the single a-arms would work fine.

If you have plans to upgrading your electrical componets and plan on doing some heavy duty off roading then the double a-arms are the way to go.

Also cost is a factor and in my opinion the double a-arms look more aggressive.

Thanks for your quick response, the problem is that i have seen in some web sites they advertisethe jakes a-arm and others the jakes double a-arm, same manufacturer but different description. Are they talking about the same kit?

I believe the double a-arms are the long travel lift kit, jakes part # for the long travel kit that I installed is 7258.

I would email jakes and tell them what your plans are and they will help you with the lift and tires you need.
