I made my own using 1/2" copper pipe and a 45 degree elbow.

I made my own also, first using 1\2” EMT (electrical tubing), then I modified it by converting it to ¾” EMT. It helps to get the exhaust out the side of the cart and lessen the exhaust smell when coming to a stop.

It really does help to get rid of excess fumes.

I'm gonna do this mod one day. I always forget about it until I see these threads pop up every so many months. With windshield all the way up the fumes can be pretty nauxiuous when comming to a stop

Would you make and sell me one for my Drive or maybe even for both of them i have a 2009 and an 2011. Same thing i would want the 3/4" pipe version adapted to slide over not into the EOM muffler tailpipe and safely clear the carts lower components while remaining high and exit to the side near the rear wheel.. name your price.

Did you loose any performance and or feel any changes? I want the 3/4" just to make sure i don't create too much back pressure?

I use 1/2" metal electrical conduit with a short length of silicone heater hose as a coupler, i run it all the way out the back. 1/2" is exact same size as exhaust pipe from the muffler. You can hear the difference in sound, but i have never noticed a difference in performance.

i wonder if i could stretch it to go over over the stock muffler tail pipe snugly. Any sense in 1/2 to 3/4" adapter or 1/2" all the way is fine. My though was a snug press on fit was less likely to leak ?

Here is an update on the exhaust extension I made and installed. This summer I noticed that the exhaust noise seemed to get louder and I also notice a new rattling noise. As it turned out with the extra weight and length of the new extension, the output pipe on the muffler began to crack under the vibration stresses. Luckily I noticed it before it fell off and lost it. The cart was at the Gulf Coast so I removed it and brought it home for some repairs. I was able to reattach it in the original location and mig- weld it back on. I also added a gusset for added support. A member inquired if I would make him one, but I informed him that I still wasn’t satisfied with the performance of this design. I believe cgtech has one that goes out the back and I wanted to see if I could make one that goes out just behind and to the outside of the rear wheel. We are still getting some exhaust in the cab area with the one in front of the rear wheel. I still haven’t had a chance to get back to work on the cart, but when I do I will post the results. Good Luck.
