Default 2009 Yamaha Drive brushes bad or speed sensor?

I have a 2009 Yamaha Drive electric golf cart that started acting funny about two weeks ago. While at the beach I noticed that it would take off really hard when the pedal was initially pressed and then go back to usual the rest of the pedal. After sitting for a week on charge we went to go around the neighborhood and it would only go about 10 mph and was jumpy like it was wanting to go full speed but would immediately slow down. Now it does not move at all sometimes when the pedal is depressed, but I found if I push it a few feet it will go. I tried the speed sensor test, key on, tow/run in run, F/R in Forward and let it roll down a hill about 20yds. It did not beep and did not regen. Disconnected the speed sensor and took it for a ride, no change at pedal fully depressed. Trouble shooting so far is Pack voltage is 50.2 at rest, drops to 37 with pedal at about 50% initially then 47 when up to requested speed on jacks. Solenoid checks out. Controller is putting out pack voltage at terminal A1 and NEG when pedal is depressed. Measuring 0 volts with no pedal and 4.7 to 5.2 with pedal fully depressed at F1 and F2 on controller.
Controller Model: MORIC JW2-H6510-00
Electric Motor Model: DM430-06A

Sounds like the brushes in that Hitachi motor. Their known for this and
mine was doing the same. Ordered a riot kit.

I also think your batteries are totally shot. Those numbers for no load (on jackstands) are horrible.

Pulled the motor and found two brushes stuck and the contact surfaces arched pretty bad. Thanks for the help!

Had my brushes in my Hitachi replaced once and eventually started the same thing again.
That's why I ordered the riot kit plus my cart is lifted, bigger
tires, etc. and knew I needed to upgrade anyway.

Riot kit installed and definitely back in action. Cart has some torque now. Have learned that a Drive with 6” lift for off road use isn’t a great idea. Have to figure out reducing body roll on uneven terrain especially with passengers on back. Working on HD springs on back and contemplating adding a little weight up front and 2” spacers all around. If anyone has figured out how to get a Drive stable with 6” lift, please chime in. Thanks.
