Engine hesitation at start
06 Precedent with FE350. I may have a couple problems that maybe created by me!!
1) pushing pedal very slowly to a specific point is the only way to start in most cases. When it hits that point about 1” down on the pedal. Otherwise engine will continue to crank over even when choked. Something seems to be out of adjustment. Carb has been cleaned. 2) this is the one that I may have caused. On some starts the engine will stop on the pressure stroke and either inch over or stop until restart. This problem seems to have started when I added a timing advance key. Any comments would be appreciated. |
