2015 carryall clutch problem in South Pacific
My carryall has the Kawasaki FH680D engine with a team rapid response drive and driven clutch.
Been getting noisy so took off drive belt and ran engine. the drive clutch seems to work alright and no noise but when I put the belt back on the noise reappears. If I keep my speed to 10mph or lower then very little noise except when I back off the throttle. Sometimes when throttling off and slowing right down when I go to put the gas on the clutch doesn't engage for about maybe 10 seconds then bites in and we're off. Only seems to last for a couple of days and then seems to be ok. If I run it over 10mph then noisy all the time. I am on an island in the South Pacific with no access to anything to do with buggies so have to fly back to Australia to access parts. Have read as much as I can on this forum but thought someone may have had a similar problem as I don't want to replace both clutch unless I really have to as Drive clutch is $1200 and driven is $800. cheers |
