16 HP Honda Clone Idle Adjustment
Hey All! I'm back at it! I'm having a little trouble getting the idle down on the 16HP Powermax honda clone. From what I've found online, there's a pilot set screw near the bolt hole on the carb.
http://www.kedawei.com/Carb_exploded_view.pdf Problem is, mine doesn't have the limiter cap on it, and I don't think it ever did. I see no way of adjusting this screw or even any way to get it out. What has everyone else done to lower the idle on these motors? |

Have you checked or adjusted the throttle cable? How is your cable attached to the motor's throttle linkage? There is an arm under the gas tank that controls the engine rpms. The closer it is pushed to the carb, the lower it should idle.

The idle adjustment screw is #6 in the pic .... i found the one I had didn't want to idle at a very low speed ???
