Thanks for the info guys. This is my first golf cart motor. I am quite handy with chevy 350's and single cylinder motorcycle motors. I'm still amazed no damage was done to the head. I have seen valves wear into their seat but never that far. This helps settle my question/concern of: Should I replace intake valves BEFORE they damage the head. It appears the valves, and not the head, is the wear item.

If you've got good comp. I would'nt worry about it... Thats just me. If I had the engine apart already, definitely replace, but if you got the comp. back up and no more problems I say let it ride.
