Check to see if one of the cables is kinked or binding. They both need to work freely for it to shift properly.Sometimes, you need to unhook a cable-clamp and let the cable relax,it may be under tension.I can't remember what I did on my Wifes' G16 last year.

The older carts adjust at the shifter I don't recall on that one. But Pachanga is right likely something is moved and pulled a cable tight or against something. Check the cables and try to re-adjust how they sit and take any sharp bends out of them. I had to do this just putting a clone in my lifted G9 as it hit the cables at the trans.

Did you check if it shifts normally when off? If it shifts normally when off, have you checked that it is idling low enough? Or that the belt isn't too tight/short?
