Default G2 Fuse Question

My husband went to replace our G2 battery and apparently hooked it up backwards - he turned away for a few seconds and when he looked back the the stereo was smoking and it was not good. Now it won't do anything - he corrected the cables . Do you think the whole electical system is blown or are there fuses and if so where are the fuses? Thanks~
