Clutch slow to engage at start, takes off slow
I changed the fuel pump out and in order to get it working again I held the brake and gave it gas to start. I then held the brake down and let it run for a few minutes. Before I exchanged the fuel pump it was fast at take off and was much faster at full speed. Noticed the belt is now very loose. Wondering if there is an adjustment or will it work it self out. Obviously I have done something when I let it spin without going anywhere.

Re: Clutch slow to engage at start, takes off slow
What kind of clutch? I would assume if your ran it for "a few minutes" at a high rpm things got pretty hot. Just a guess but I'd say at minimum your belt stretched, you'll have to take it off and put a piece of string around the inside of it....then measure the string you see how far you are from what it was when it was new.....there are also parts in the clutches (different clutches different parts) that could've heated up and/or friction worn....in the future your gonna want to block up the rear wheels or take the belt off if you need to do this
