Default Another 03 CC Problem

Its a 03 CC DS. Runs great but has lost 6 mph? With the stage 4 mod and 23" tires it ran 24.6 mph but now since the problem runs flat 17mph? I use it slow on trails alot and another problem I have is it with just stop after a while and if I sit for a minute it will take of like it was fresh off the charger?

Anyone know or have had these problems?

You didnt say whether its a SERIES ( F&R lever under right leg ) or IQ cart ( F&R rocker type switch under right leg )?
Was a parts change made just before problem started like Motor, controller, tire diameter, lift kit, rear seat, etc? I also have seen the stage 4 setting lost for some reason ( I feel possibly improper shut down before doing some electrical changes )
It sounds like SHADOWMAN says the controller over heats from slow running, hill climbing, heavy loads and cuts off until it cools down to protect itself from burning up?

So I should upgrade it? Will I loose the stage 4 setting or is it another device that holds it? These electric carts are a pain in the A$$! I wished I started with a gas cart..
