Default Kawasaki engine

I have a 2008 club car gas precedent. I know it's a Kawasaki engine. I'm assuming it's an FE 350? When I go looking for some parts they want to know if it's an AS11 or AS26. What is the difference and how do I find out what I have?

As11 vs Aa26 I think are the difference between with and without Automatic Compression Release. There are differences in the head design, camshaft, lifters and rocker arms.
Majority of the bottom end components are the same, so crank, piston, balance weight, etc.
You can tell an ACR engine by looking at the top air shroud on the engine, it will usually have a small yellow sticker that says ACR or W/O ACR. If there is no sticker then you can tell by looking at the rocker arms.
What parts do you need?

I am actually just looking for a starter/generator but I saw on one website they wanted to know this and it made me wonder if there was a difference in starters or mounting.

Nope Starter gen is the same. Personally I would take the old one to a alternator/starter rebuild shop and have them finish the commutator and put new brushes in it. Aftermarket starter gens are hit or miss unless you’re buying them from a reputable supplier. If yours is too damaged to rebuild then Check out our site sponsors because they stand behind the products they sell.
