I did see that post and it is appreciated. I was asking because I was not in a position where I would be able to do a voltage test on the cart for several days and was looking at purchasing a voltage converter that does not have an on/off control input wire. Because of no on/off control I was looking for an attachment point for the converter that would go off and on with the key and the solenoid seemed like a logical point but only if it is always on with key on.

The solenoid engages when you turn the key on stays that way until you turn the key off
