Default RVX doesn't always respond to pedal request

It's intermittent, but I can hop in, step on the go pedal and nothing. Let off, step on it again and it goes. The same in reverse.

Any ideas?

Your pedal must not be coming all the way back. Take a look in the pedal box area for dirt, sand, leaves ect. Your gas pedal spring might need more tension if it has one.

Mine does that after it sits for about 30 minutes with the key on. I think it is to save power. If you have the factory battery gauge it goes to zero after it sits that long.

It could be either pedal, but it does sound like a HPD (high pedal disable) issue. If the springs are weak, the ends can be bushed to give a bit more tension.

How old is your cart?

My 2010 RXV started throwing a HDP sequencing fault. It turned out to be a worn out brake pedal switch that registered 7 ohms of resistance when closed. The spec is less than one ohm. Replacing the switch cleared the HDP Sequencing fault error.

There is one on each pedal. The switches are relatively cheap. If your cart is older, replace them both and save yourself the hassle of the other one eventually failing.

This would be after ensuring there is no debris blocking the pedals from returning all the way up.

Its a 2013, I'll check the pedal for proper movement and cleanliness...

Thanks!
