Installed the cup holder in my 2016 rxv. Really like it. Had to cut some plastic and Velcro down the cables and fuse under the new cup holder. Not hard at all. Added in a usb charger.

Simple instructions in case anyone is worried about "trimming plastic". It is very simple to do. See instructions attached.

Mine is a 2015 RXV. Love the new cubbies/cupholders for phones and stuff.

Where did you wire in for your power outlet? What color wires did you splice into? Thanks

Got mine installed too. Trimmed the same area and same amount. Thinking about adding a power plug now.

I did not splice in wires. I installed a scottyb reducer and ran cables from the reducer fuse box (under the seat) to the dash. I also wired in a Soundbar. I wanted to keep the factory wiring separate.

Just installed this today on a 2010 RXV.
Didn't need to remove the front cowl, just pulled out the old one, cut down the plastic to fit and popped it in.

Thanks to the OP, I had no idea that the newer units would fit and it's a nice upgrade.

Got mine installed today. Have to run a wire for the USB port. Removed front so I could wire the radio. I ended up cutting out plastic lip under cup holder.

Thumbs up Re: Replacing center console/cup holder with larger unit.

Followed this thread and installed mine today on my 2011. The price has gone up a lot direct from Ezgo, but it was still significantly cheaper from Country Cat. $44.60 shipped. I didn’t pull the cowl either and just trimmed with a dremel cut off wheel. Great upgrade, thanks everyone for the ideas and input.

These look great. I've been searching / googling for this and sadly Country Cat is out of stock right now. Can't even find it listed on Ezgo. Best I can do is a more expensive ebay listing.

Sidenote I'm surprised it's not on Amazon. The cheap chinese knockoffs have solenoids, sensors, etc., for page after page - but not something like this? I'd figure this would be a home run for em so they dont have to deal with all the crappy electronic returns and reviews.

I made an offer of $34 on the eBay listing. Put a message that $50 total with shipping was my max to spend. He accepted it. It is on its way. I could have held out for country cat to be back in stock. But figured shipping would be $9.99 Im a cheap *** and it killed me to spend the extra. 🤣
