Extremely Hard Starting in Cold Weather
Hi Guys, I took the cart up to the hunt camp this week and the temps dropped between 30-40 degrees. Every morning the cart wouldn't start for about 5 minutes of cranking. When I pulled the airfilter out to give it more air it looked like it was blowing exhaust or atomized gas through the carb into the airbox. When it finally started and warmed up it seemed to run ok. The previous owner told me it was hard to start on cold mornings but this was extreme in my opinion. We had two EZGO carts at the camp and the other would start fine.
Anyone have any ideas? Some things I did when i got the cart was to change the oil. The previous owner had put too much in it so it was overfull. The airbox would accumulate oil so I thought that this was his hard start issue but I guess not. |
