Unhappy Rattling noise

My name is David I have recently bought a 91 EZ-Go gas 2 stroke cart and it has a loud rattling noise comming from the clutches area at higher revs,I am a small engine mechanic by trade but these engines and drive systems are new to me.Is this a common noise on these or should I be worried about it.
Thanks for any help on this matter.

It's not suppose to sound that way. It usually means your clutch is going bad

The drive clutch, take the cover off and have a look see, those use to be rebuildable but it's near impossible to get parts for them now a days. You might find some at a golf course maintenance shop that used ezgos. most all of them went to leasing carts and they end up with alot of nos parts like that
