Re: G1 big block project br250 bravo
JcXtreme72,
I not very good at two strokes what is acceptable compression? Would it be worth the trouble to light hone just to get some scrape marks ? came across this manual on CD on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/300793772468...84.m1423.l2648 Last edited by nwarren9; 10-29-2012 at 04:58 PM.. Reason: sp |

Pretty much anything over 100 is good but if you are that far into the build it's worth it to do it any ways. You basically hone it like you you said with a cross hatch and put the new rings on the piston. It's really easy and quite often you don't need a ring compressor.

Re: G1 big block project br250 bravo
Found time to post some pitchers.First off got G1 motor Pulled set bravo in motor cradle to see what it look like. I was hoping this would be some what strait forward but it look like I was wrong. Not a hole lot of room for the crab and starter clearance of may be a little tricky. Any suggestions?

Now the real challenge the clutch's,
I would like to use the bravo clutch but it have no v-belt. walked throe a farm store the other day and came across some thing that may work with some miner machining. working on that idea after Thanks Giving. 1.jpg 2.jpg 4.jpg 5.jpg bravo 11-20 020.jpg |

Almost toasted the towel in on this project! If you look at the difference between the two magnitudes you may say the same thing I said "NO WAY WILL THIS WORK" after reading the big blocks rebuild project he said it will.
take A look and see if what you think? bravo 11-20 035.jpg bravo 11-20 009.jpg bravo 11-20 010.jpg G1 on left Bravo on right bravo 11-20 037.jpg bravo 11-20 036.jpg Last edited by nwarren9; 11-18-2012 at 11:50 AM.. Reason: sp |

Re: G1 big block project br250 bravo
Not sure if you saw this, but it's pretty specific about swapping both parts over from the G1 to the Bravo engine...

Re: G1 big block project br250 bravo
slonomo
Yes, thank you. have read it probable 8 to 10 times, I am just having a Ripple things! working on motor mounting location, needs clearance for carburetor over the rear end. Been trying different wood blocks under motor to get best fit looks like a 1 1/2" lift will work. Bolt pattern different on Bravo than on the G1 the plan is to take the old motor mount from Bravo rebend each end down 90 deg an trimming off excess steel. |

Re: G1 big block project br250 bravo
like JcXtreme72 said, might as well change the rings now because the engine is in full access and easy to work on
