The switch for the head lights is on the turn signal arm as is the horn. Just twist it like some cars do to turn head lights on. The new set up eliminated the old pull push knob for the head lights

That purple wire with a male connector is the power out to your existing headlights.

I agree. There had to be some wires from the existing headlight switch. From what I can see from the photos it must be a red, black and blues wire?

That's the thing. I cant find any other wires (red black and blue)that the purple wire would plug into.

Do you have 12 volts to switch. Do you have 12 volts coming-out of switch to lights when turned on.
If so then other wire on lights is not connected to a 12 voltground/- to complete circuit.

This is the old harness that was replaced by the madjax signal set up. It was just plugged into the old push pull light switch and nothing else .

I see 2 or 3 switches next to the ignition switch. One is the headlight, what is/are the others?
