Had a little bit of time to ponder best mounting layout and orientation of the air system. Believe this will be the setup, with the waterproof relay and associated terminal strip on the driver's side. Since the terminals will be exposed to potential rain, I'll put them in a small enclosure with grommets for wires to enter and exit.

Went ahead and added the 1/8" NPT elbows so can mount the pressure sensors out of the way on the manifold and also installed the 90deg quick connect fittings for inlet and exhaust.

Not sure if the tubing to each pair of shocks and the air horns will come through the bottom or side of the bagwell. For now I'll get sir system to the base plate I made so when the body goes on I'll use it as a guide for where to drill my holes.

Speaking of air horns the solenoid on this $30 set appeared to be 1/8"NPT and while it threads in fine it's a little loose. Ordered a new one off amazon in hopes the description is accurate and actually is 1/4" NPT inlet and outlet.

Getting closer to riding, my daughter has been asking everyday when I'm going to fix it. I, of course, tell her that her mom won't give me enough time in the shop to fix it, haha.

Glad I had no plans on going back to a stock dash, lol. This whole build started due to me getting this VIP dash for $122.50. Had to open it up to make room behind the VIP dash overlay for my switches, gauge, meters, 9in screen and ignition switch.

Glad I ended up getting the new lighting and street legal kit. While the wiring is pretty much the same (except I have an actual main harness now), much better quality and fitting parts. Here's the taillights side by side, new kit is on the right. Also better quality LEDs used and not the old school SuperFlux/Piranha style. Have to do a little trimming to be able to use the clear lens. Still plan to VHT Nightshade the clear lens. Modeled and printed some plugs for the new tail reflectors so I can paint the rest of the chrome black as well. Unsure if I'll go through with it, waiting to see how the smoked clear lens look as is....I think it'll blend better not painted. Still intend to make my own LED boards in the near future so can update them to have halo style running lights.

I think I stated this in an earlier post, but this new kit has RGB halos, but still using my new lights with an actual cutoff. Having the RGB bluetooth module already wired in, if my kid ever wanted lights under the cart it would be easy to install..

Air system mounted on its subfloor. Compressor and such will behind the tank when in the bagwell

A "custom" cart is nothing unless you have a key that matches.

Key part is just for visual, I'll get this resin printed and melt the plastic off it's current key and epoxy it in. Due to size, is the most detailed thing I've modeled yet actually will be the cheapest part I will have printed, $7.66. Just need to make some tweaks, like smooth out the face edges so it looks like an OEM car key..

Not much accomplished in the shop other than marking and drilling holes thru the new bagwell liner for some grommets. Attempting to keep it tidy for the wires and front/rear tubing runs to the manifold.

Hole for the wires is large enough to fit a waterproof harness through for the 4 solenoids. Pressure sensors have their own smaller waterproof plugs. This allow me to disconnect the entire subfloor and remove when I pull the body again.

Got sidetracked with the brass fittings with the wire wheel on the bench grinder. For some reason felt the need to clean them up.

1/8" NPT elbow is due in today, wanted to kick the tanks pressure switch 90deg like rest of it so wouldn't stick up like a sore thumb..

Hope to see the rear body on this weekend if have enough spare time.

Decided to try something a little different for this key idea. I think it's a little too far out there for my tastes, but gave me more experience modeling stuff. Pics is front and rear if the same key

The other day I realized the turn signal stalk can't be installed until the VIP dash overlay is installed which can't be done with the lighting and street legal main harness in place. I didn't want to drill a huge hole in my VIP dash for the 9pin connector for it, nor did I want to reduce the wire size of of the stalk wires. I have a bunch of 1, 2, 3 & 4 pin waterproof harnesses that have leads you solder to your cable and while I've used them for this build, they're only 20ga wire. Luckily I remembered my collection of generic Weatherpak connectors I bought 4-5yrs ago. First time to use them, once you get going installation goes pretty swiftly.

Not going to lie, more tinker toy looking than I expected. Due to limited space, manifold requiring dual inlets and also needed a 3rd supply for the train horn. On a positive, it supports itself.

Didn't have much free time, but officially ready to put the body on. Hope to be able to run through and test everything one evening this week.

Little trimming on the taillight LED reflector and the clear lens fits like a glove. Still plan to tint the lens and make my own LED boards, but it's time to get get the cart together before any additional projects.

Tested all my electronics this evening and everything works 100% as intended. Not a single issue. Officially time time to drop the body back on and tie up all the loose ends.

Test fit my 3D printed logo on my tank finally. Will cut out a body color vinyl inlay for it, use lower profile 3M tape and get it perfectly centered once cart is done. Ive been overdue for a new 3D printer so started researching. First things I'll print is all new stuff I designed for the cart.

Quick test print to get a feel for how key would feel in my hands before having it resin printed. Actually better than the regular shaped key base, but still get both printed.

With resin 3d printing they come only in opaque white and I definitely want it black so I may have to get a hobby lobby mold kit and make my own duplicate with some added black dye. Paint definitely won't hold up for a key. I did this 10+ years ago with my '05 GTO key so would have a plain key vs key/fob combo since I had an aftermarket alarm/remote start. Came out great and since resin was dye it held up like any normal key.

Tomorrow evening I'll be able to start final assembly.
