Re: 80's DS seat bottom construction?
Not on my end yet. I have been collecting the fasteners as my seat is missing most. I looked them up in the parts manual I downloaded. I also have been waiting until I finished painting the replacement body panels and installing them before working on the seat.
I thought the seat bottom and back refurbishing was imminent but last weekend I had to start all over on body prep after the paint swelled some of the primer I used. It took me 4 hours of non-stop wet sanding to go through the new paint and primer and get back down to bare plastic. I used 220 then 400 so as not to mess up the plastic so it took quite a while. Then I re-primed and am now redoing the filler. I lost my motivation after screwing up but am back at it now. Hope to paint tomorrow and work on the seat soon after. |
