Snap Ring Cross Reference/Dimensions

Were all dealing with parts backordered form manufacturer - holding up repairs, was wondering if anyone can help cross reference a snap ring or help with locating one.

Any references for figuring out things like this out in the future myself would be appreciated - I can not find the dimensions anywhere!

Depends if its an internal or external snap ring.
Usually a hardware store like Fastenal or Grainger can match one up based on approximate size.
As far as measuring goes, try google. Lots of vids, photos, diagrams, etc. out there that show what and where to measure.
Used snap rings, especially if they're damaged/bent are often deformed and can't be accurately measured, but the inside or outside dimension (depending if it's an external or internal type ring) and the width or thickness of the ring are the main measurements.
If the ring is gone missing or totally rusted/ bent/ mangled beyond measuring ability, then you would measure the groove the ring fits into with a caliper.

Any chance it is the same as a Dana used on ezgo? If so it is RETAINING RING - 2.089D X .065T 23530g1

Actually not directly related to replacing the Shaft Input, this is to fix a leak on the drivers side of the axle at the same time we have it removed from the cart.

Well We removed the Snap Ring and its in great condition and was easy to remove, so were just going to re-use it.
