Default Moving fnr lever and controller and solenoid.

2002 club car ds. It is a series cart so has the fnr lever. Put in a single lithium battery and could use a way to move some things. This cart has the 2 center beams and battery went between them. Problem is that makes it vary tight for the fnr lever and was wondering of ideas of how and where to move it. Also I have seen some people move the controller and solenoid also. This are mounted to a plate that runs between beams under seat backrest and not sure if it is structural in any way. Pictures would help for inspiration. Thanks all.

Default Re: Moving fnr lever and controller and solenoid.

I think we can all agree that the old style mechanical forward reverse mechanism is a bit bulky. Club Car always had them mounted in the center of the seat base, but EZGO did have a similar working set up in the passenger side well on the outside of the frame rail. I suppose that could be done, but would require creating some arrangement to move the switch. EZGO still had the handle in the center but with a rod that connected to the switch at the side. The easier solution would be a reversing contactor set up. Essentially a set of solenoids that direct the current. For example:
