Start from scratch
Since some mods have been made to my 97 Regen by a previous owner and the controller has been changed and am not able to identify it, should I just gut it and start over ? I want to build this thing for hunting and don't want to do it twice. I thought about just trying to get it running and then rebuild it when it gives up. I have the stock motor and what is supposed to be a 500 amp controller, a solenoid that has been bypassed, and must replace the cables anyway. I see some suggesting that the series conversion is the way to go. What do you guys think?

Re: Start from scratch
IMHO yes start anew ... you have no idea whats been done and your photos show some strange things going on with the wiring.. as for the series conversion, it would be a good time to do it

Re: Start from scratch
I didn't get a charger with this cart but have one for my 2001 48v IQ. I was hoping to use it on both carts. Can I use my charger work or will I need something different after the conversion?
