Default Re: G2 Rear end in G1!

Dawg, I'm running a G2 drive clutch at the moment. I've got a clone motor and fabbed up a whole new motor mount to keep the engine level and the clutches lined up. My swingarm is in the stock position for now. May fab up a 4 link setup later. I moved my gas tank to the other side and have my battery and electrical on the drive side of the cart.

Default Re: G2 Rear end in G1!

Thanks grayhorse. Putting the G2 rear end in the G1 moved the differential over and I now have to move the engine over which makes even more contact between the frame and the drive clutch. I dropped the engine down more thinking it would set the clutch below the frame. It didn't. But with the taller flat head 8hp engine it looks better set down in the chassis and I think that I can just get the clutch clearance I need by heating and beating the frame just a little more.

I have all the initial welds done to hold everything in place and the engine level. The setup looks good and should work much better than when I just cobbled the engine in the cart.

I'll get some pictures today of how I have it set up once I get the swing arm pulled back out and everything welded up. I'm getting closer to getting this machine back up and running and can't wait to take it for a spin.
