club car ds 341 flat head
for all you old 341 flat head guys , i need some help. it cranks over good and has good compression [100], new coil and micro switchs in the lower box. when you crank it you get 1 spark when depress pedal then while cranking nothing then when you let off 1 spark ? whats my issue here ? thanks for the

Could be a dead igniter maybe.
There should be a single wire coming from the coil which is the kill wire. Disconnect that so the coil is isolated. Tape if off so it can’t ground on anything and crank the engine over. If you now have consistent spark, then there’s a problem with either the igniter, if it has one, or the kill circuit on the cart. If it does have a separate igniter, make sure the igniter is hooked to the coil, and that the kill circuit is disconnected from those. Check to see that you have good spark, and that the engine will run. You will have to ground the kill wire manually to get it to shut off. |

sorry for the delay, just got busy, thanks Fairfax for the reply and I did try disconnecting that wire and got no spark at all. also was told the kill wires on the micro switch was on backwards so did that and nothing. any other suggestions anyone ? thanks .

hi guys , worked on this issue for about 4 hrs yesterday. changed both micro switches it the control box again and check the key switch wires and now I only have a single spark when I let off the peddle. just cant fig this out. put new slide clips on end of wires that go on micro switches. never have I seen this happen before. any thoughts guys ?
