Default 36 volt battery gauge

Just got my first cart. 2002 Ezgo 36 volt. Had to replace capacitor in the Power wise charger. Now after a full charging cycle the 6x 6 volt pack shows 39 volts on multi meter but the gauge on dash ( multiple vertical bars) shows absolutely nothing. No light at all. What now? Date stamp on batteries is January 2018.

Replace with the digital LED voltage meter for more accurate monitoring.

Why would a bad gauge disable the cart? With the key on the cart won’t move, the headlights and taillights come on so it seems that the key switch is working.

I looked at the voltage meter on your site, the stock gauge has three posts. How do I wire yours?

The Bar graph meter has 3 wires, 1 negative and 2 positive. 1 positive is on constantly, the other positive is switched on/off with the key.
To install a 2 wire meter connect the negative and either one of the positives, which one you choose depends upon whether you want the meter to show voltage all the time or just when in use.
