Default Changing rear driver side axle.

I recently bent my rear driver side axle. I ordered a new one and it's on back order. Hopefully it will be arriving soon. Are there any tricks or information to help me change this out? I am new to golf cart and any information would greatly be appreciated. I have a 2002 EZ-GO gas golf cart.
Thanks in advance.

fairly simple, when ordereing axle though, its usually a good idea, to go ahead and order a seal, and two snap rings, also a bearing if its not pre-mounted...

you take old axle out, by taking drum off, pulling snap ring, then taking axle out.. then remove second snap ring, and wheel seal.... then basically re-install the same way you removed.. be careful when installing axle back in, dont hit the end with a hammer you will gum up your threads.. the best way to tap it in is with a piece of pipe fitted to the hard part of the bearing, this wont bend the bearing and wont mess up the end of the axle...

how long is your back order suppose to be? theres I chance I could get it faster?

Not sure, they have no idea on the backorder. I ordered it through buggiesunlimited.com
Most golf carts have the cheaper axle around 60 but of course mine is the expensive one around 200.
How quick could you get one?

I just went thru waiting for an axle, it took 30 days to get here. you'll find its a simple change out replacing the axle. But to backup what has already been stated be careful of the axle nut threads. good luck!

2002 Gas rear driver side...
I'm not sure why it costs that much but that is the one they said I need. I have looked it up
on my sites and it calls for the more expensive one.

Chances are, JBDiNos, that BU's axle is a piece of junk, they will charge you through the nose for it (already demonstrated), and it will take them forever to get it from Taiwan to you. Please don't waste your time, money, and energy on BU. Get your parts from Cart Parts Plus or East Coast Custom Carts Inc.
