Re: idle??
The box below the oil filter, just above the oil drain plug is the rev limiter... not it!
I'm at the campground and, I don't have my books with me, and of course... my laptop doesn't have everything on it that my desk top does! The best I can remember is that the "engine kill circuit" (white and black) goes to the solenoid, then off to the coil. But... don't quote me on that! again... I forget stuff too! Monday morning will be the soonest I'll be able to check, maybe someone else will chime in before then! crap.... |

Re: idle??
my pc crashed x-mas day,and it had all my golf cart stuff on it, service manual and engine manual, receipts and parts list of stuff i have bought, pictures of the cart from beginning to present, pictures of how i installed.......all gone, hangs head in shame, the only *&T%@!#$$%%^ thing i did not have on back up, my golf cart folder.
i traced the white/ black wire to the rev limiter, which by the way i have unplugged. if i hook the black wire back up to the rev limiter, i wonder if that will fix it? i gotta tell i love going flat out, watching my tiny tach hit 4200 rpms makes me smile. short bursts mind ya, but still makes me smile. my wires match what your saying and showing, hope i dont have to hook my rev limiter back up to get it to idle. |

Re: idle??
No... I have my rev limiter ground disconnected also, and it idles and shuts off perfectly!
Just curious... Do you have a good ground strap on your engine connected to the frame? and again... I found this in my photobucket: (it splits to the limiter and to the coil) |

Re: idle??
with the cart in service mode, neutral
at high idle, go to turn the key off and it stays running. |
