Default 48V QuickLine Started Driving slow cannot find anyone to help me reprogram curtis1266

So I have a 48V Quick Line golf cart and I need to reprogram the board. I don't have a hand held, an seems that no one in this darn province has one!!! ive called everywhere I can think of and not one golf cart repair shop has a clue what im talking about!! This happened to us once before where the settings went wonky and it drove slow in forward. We replaced so manythings (batteries, foot pedal/speed pot, forward reverse switch) before sending the board to the US (we are in Canada) and having something do it for us. I want to avoid waiting 3 weeks with shipping back and forth. We repair auto scrubbers at work and they have Curtis boards, the small cord with 4 pins one end and it goes to serial to serial to usb but nothing happened when I plugged it in. I was hoping maybe our software would work. What am I doing wrong? I need the 9 pin connector too? Do I need a power source? Anyone in Canada want to reprogram my board I will send it DHL overnight and send back? Please help!

I program curtis controllers on industrial equipment. The controllers do need to have power going to them. I use a handheld programmer. I'm in the US. What I would do is find a forklift repair shop/ mechanic. They can help you with it for sure. Besides it's kind of a neat out of the ordinary thing for a forklift mechanic to do.. There is a ton of adjustments on most traction controllers.
