Default What is flywheel machining.

New guy with lots of questions so I'll start slow. Please type slow as I'm a slow reader!!!! I'm looking for a torque increase for my '00 CC Gas engine cart and have been reading up on it. One of the suggested tips is having the flywheel machined. What does this accomplish? More accurately, what do they do to it and how does it increase the torque? I've searched this but keep getting the threads that say "do it". TIA.
