Dude! 99% sure that motor has hydraulic lifters
In other words no valve adjustments ... I first ran into this on the 11 hp Kawasaki in 2000, hope this helps

It's the New FJ400 engine that they started using in 2008

Dont know about the valves, but my st 2+2 13hp kawasaki has some legs for a golf cart.

You do adjust the valves I ordered a service manual for my 2009 sport 2 with the same engine, service manual says whenengine is cold and piston is tdc of compression stroke inlet and exhaust is 0.10-0.15mm or 0.oo4- 0.006 in.
