I could do that, yes....but then if one of my kids bumps into anything the light is dust.

Re: Yamaha G8 Club - Please post!
Hello everyone! Brand new member here and am loving this forum so far. I have tried searching but couldn't find what I am looking for.
I am supposed to pick up a 1990 G8 today and have already been trying to learn about them but there doesn't seem to be much out there. Anyone know why? Also, I need to add a rear seat but am having a hard time finding any that seem to be specifically for it. Found one at golfcartstuff and ended up calling them and they claim it will fit the G8 but I am not too sure. They claim their website saying G2-G9 means it will fit those generations (G2 through G9) but when I told them the G2/G9 appears to be a specific model cart they didn't know what I was talking about. If there is not a specific kit for the G8, what is the best one to buy without having to weld anything? |

This is the same kit I purchased for my G8. Can you show me how you made it work? |

To my knowledge, there is no rear seat kit. Anything can “be made” to fit

Re: Yamaha G8 Club - Please post!
I suppose I better introduce myself. Name is Kevin, I am from Indiana, just south of Fort Wayne. The cart I am currently working on was purchased by my father and I last November for a steal of $100, Yamaha G8. The previous owner said it died and could not get it to fire up. Put a new battery, new gas, and new spark plug and we were cruising. Of course painted it hot rod black, bought a cheap set of wheels locally, and got it street legal.
Fast forward to last week... My father passed away June 27, 2019 and when he passed I vowed I would do what I thought and knew he wanted to do to this old thing that we named "Black Betty". So now I am just waiting for fed ex for the remaining parts to put this new 420 clone on her |

$100 is a great deal for a G8. Was everything there for that price? Looks like a great cart. Sorry about your dad.
