Re: Latest EZGO Limited Slip
It is a knock off (Pro Fit and not ezgo) but it seems like a nice piece. It comes with zero instructions and may or may not be assembled. Even if it is assembled it must be disassembled for proper soaking of clutch plates and installation.
I documented the stack up with a picture for future reference. |

Re: Latest EZGO Limited Slip
Ok makes more sense now. I've tried some of the Chinese stuff in past and have been bit in the *$#@ so I'm ok with spending more. I'm sure its a good unit just have a bad taste in my mouth about their crap now. You never know EZGO maybe getting it from the same supplier but at least I'm assured its to their specs. Again I still take a chance I"m just throwing money down the tube as it could be the exact same and manufactured to EZGO specs already. BUT I'm not willing to take the chance anymore. Great lead though as I'm sure others will find helpful. These carts go great as is but put lockers or limited slips in the rear and Its almost unbelievable. My club car goes places that can get you in trouble. I'm actually looking at front brakes now as I can get up hills that are actually very scary to come back down.

Re: Latest EZGO Limited Slip
Does this LS work in reverse as well as forward? My LS works great in forward, but not in reverse.

Re: Latest EZGO Limited Slip
If it is the same as the ezgo unit (it sure looks like it), yes. I would also believe it does because it is a "clutch type", not a "cone type". A "clutch type" does not act any different in F or R, the "cone type" in my real car does not work nearly as well in reverse.
